Helping Hands Assistance Program

 The purpose of our "90 Day Emergency Food Program" is to offer temporary assistance to families and individuals in crisis situaitons by providing canned goods, fresh produce, fresh baked goods, clothing, household items and personal hygiene items.  Baby items are offered to families as well.

While treating each individual with dignity and respect our trained, caring volunteers help to determine client need and explore best practices and innovative ways to create solutions to return to self-sufficiency. 

At the initial visit, clients are asked a short series of basic "intake" questions and to provide required documents for case management purposes.  During our "90 day Emergency Food Program" the client is provided assistance with the Food Stamp process, given referrals  to other community services and encouraged with one one one interaction.

Our new Resource and Referral Center offers assistance with food stamp applications, job search, case management, referrals, encouragment and navigating the maze of social services in the community.
